We are the Spirits of the most heroic warriors who have ever fallen in combat. We engage in combat simply for the sake of combat, itself. We eschew the use of vessels of war preferring, instead, to test our individual prowess on the field of battle. In times of Peace, our numbers are relatively stable, but in times of War, our numbers are swelled daily!

The History of the Dark Ones

Introduction

The Einheriar can NOT build ships. They are a Ground Combat Race. Their Fighters and Ground Assault Vehicles are Very Superior. Their Troop Combat Rating is better than any other Race, though this is offset by their lack of High Guard. They, normally, have a very low Growth Rate (1%). However, 10% of ANY Race killed in battle, become Einheriar the next turn. 100% of any Einheriar killed in any way will re-form on the largest Einheriar Base (based on population) the next turn. The only way to completely eliminate the Einheriar is to destroy ALL their Bases.

Example:

A Slayer with 159,000 Crew and 500,000 Colonists enters battle against 6 Annihilations, each with 9000 Crew and 1,000,000 Colonist Drones. During the course of battle, the Slayer destroys 2 Cubes and drops the Shields of a third, resulting in the Deaths of 3000 Crew. Finally, the Slayer is destroyed. Next turn there will be 268,000 new Einheriar. These will appear on the Base with the highest population. The Einheriar are IMMUNE to Blockades, they can launch Pods regardless of Enemy activity in the vicinity. Einheriar Pods can NOT be destroyed by Ships or Wings and can NOT hit Mines. They cannot be Captured or Towed. They may still be destroyed by minefield and/or Glory Device detonations. Einheriar Pods only last 10 turns, however. Einheriar Pods can not dock with ships and the Einheriar cannot attempt to Board Ships from their Pods. All Einheriar Pods have sensors images as though they were Gold Pods.

Einheriar Bases have even lower Sensor Images than Birdman Bases, so they are not susceptible to Orbital Attack. A Ground Quake Triggerer will affect their Bases and a Super Laser can destroy the Planet the Base is on (if the Base has no Base Shield). Their Planets are also suceptible to Planetary Stress overloads so Glory Device detonations and Scalar Wave Amps are effective against them, too.
