Star Traks: Machinima

Presenting Star Traks: Machinima! What is machinima? Well, put simply, Machinima is created when you use a video game to create an animation. Star Traks Machinima is based on the Star Traks universe, specifically on Star Traks: Silverado. If you've linked to this page from elsewhere, I strongly suggest you check out The Star Traks Nexus to get a better understanding of who the characters are and just what kind of storyline you can expect.

Star Traks: Machinima has been completed. There are now 8 segments. Add them together, and you get a Star Traks video resembling a standard TV episode. Star Traks: Machinima has found a new home at www.veoh.com. Why? Because unlike YouTube, Veoh does not destroy the image quality of the videos when they are uploaded. Using their VeohTV application, you should get the same video quality that Star Traks: Machinima was originally rendered with.

You can post your comments on the Star Traks Forum, or email me directly.

DISCLAIMER AND THANKS

Star Trek is the trademarked property of Paramount and CBS, since Viacom did that funny split thing. Star Trek Elite Force 2 was created by Ritual Software and Activision under license from Paramount.

Star Traks was created by Alan Decker. Personally, I find it much funnier than Star Trek. But then that's just my opinion.

Star Traks: Silverado was created by Brendan Shust. The Silverado concept, characters, artwork and stories are all my original work. Copyright 2004 by me.

Star Traks: Machinima is my original creation, using the UberRadiant GDK for Star Trek Elite Force 2, provided by Ritual Software. While the storyline, level design and characters are my orignal work many game elements provided with the game and GDK have been used in the creation of Star Traks: Machinima. These include, but are not limited to, some textures, models and sound effects.

If I missed something, please tell me before you sue me.

Special thanks to all my voice artists and to the various people who put up with me babbling about this project. Specific credits to follow, once the people involved tell me whether to use their real names or aliases.

Special thanks also go to the great people at the Ritual Software Forums for answering many of my inane questions about using the UberRadiant GDK.
